Program Description

 

This comprehensive Fire Extinguisher Training program is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively identify, assess, and respond to fire incidents using fire extinguishers. Participants will gain a thorough understanding of fire behavior, types of fire extinguishers, proper usage techniques, and safety protocols. 

 

Learning Outcomes 

By the end of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Define fire and its components  

  • Explain the fire tetrahedron

  • Identify different classes of fire 

  • Describe various types of fire extinguishers and their uses

  • Understand fire extinguisher classification and ratings

  • Recognize the appropriate fire extinguisher for specific fire classes

  • Explain the P.A.S.S. technique for using fire extinguishers

  • Demonstrate proper handling and operation of fire extinguishers 

  • Discuss proper storage, inspection, and maintenance of fire extinguishers
